The Seminole-Wekiva Trail, which runs along a former stretch of the Orange Line, offers scenic views of Florida's pine hills and the Gulf of Mexico. Orange County's Pine Hills Trail, which opened in 2017, covers more than 1,000 acres of undeveloped land in South Florida. This 16.5 km (3.6 mile) trail connects the university town of Gainesville with rural Hawthorne and passes through the heart of one of America's most scenic areas. Carrs is part of a national effort to create a non-motorized pipeline that stretches 110 miles from the St. John's River in Palatka to the Gulf of Mexico.

The route follows an old military road that was established after the conquest of Florida by the USA in the 1820s and 1830s. The route south from Jacksonville to Tampa includes several major cities such as Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville and Tampa.
The current post office was built in the early 1990s and is located at the intersection of 120th Street and 484 Belleview. Two to three kilometres outside the city lies the Eichelberger Höhle, which was formerly located on what is now Kreisstraße 467, but is now the South East Road. The current county road 482 is a cycle path westbound towards Belleview, according to Bray.
In 1963, the city purchased the site of the old school of Belleview Heights, Inc. and converted it into a town hall. Later, the depot was moved to the BelleView South Marion Chamber of Commerce and later to its current location at the intersection of 120th Street and 484 Belle View.
Belleview is also home to Belleview College, a college founded in 1889 by the aforementioned George Bush. The college is still operating today under the leadership of its founder and President George W. Bush Jr. and is a member of the University of South Marion.
In the early 1950s, only grades one to eight attended Belleview Elementary, and Miss Callie was the primary school teacher. The older students took the bus to Ocala and Summerfield to attend high school and were taught by Professor Rickards, who was also a member of the Regents Board of Florida State University and a professor at South Marion College.
In 2002, it was decided that the library was simply too small, and so it began as Belleview Public Library, the first of its kind in the state of Florida. Lake Lillian is mentioned in a magazine about "Belleview" published by the Marion Land Improvement Company. The land around the lake belonged to an early settler, King Roach, and his name has changed several times over the years because he owned the lake.
Dunn also led the development of the community of Dunnellon in the 1880s and was responsible for the construction of Belleview High School, the first high school in Marion County. The landowners let their pine and pine stocks to operators until the 20th century to extract turpentine and rosin from the naval storage. Belleview is known for its citrus fruits, which produced more than 250,000 bushels of fruit in 1891 before a frost forced many growers out of business in late 1890.
The reading room is located in several different locations, including the Belleview Public Library, which charges $3.75 a month in rent.
When the Florida Railway and Navigation Company arrived in the county in 1882, a new development company called Marion Land Improvement Company was formed to develop and sell land around Lake Lillian. The Goolsby family of Belleview offered a few acres of land near Highway 484 for the new location of the library, which is also the reading room, as well as the main applicant for the establishment of the library. Others who allegedly held shares in the company were the Goolings, who later opened the first public library in Marion County, the St. Johns County Public Library.
